Contest FAQ

If you don't find an answer to your questions below, I will be happy to answer them either in the Micro Mayhem thread, or in a private message on Pocketfives.com. Click HERE for a link to my profile.

Q. How much is it to join?

The entry fee is $3. Of that, $2 goes to the prize pool, and $1 goes to www.pocketfivesgear.com for prizes

Q. What day do you run this contest?

It usually runs on Wednesday nights....this is subject to change depending on my plans for that evening and the vote from the majority of the players. As of now, it looks like I will be shifting Mayhem to Thursday nights for the time being. I will post a thread on Pocketfives.com a few hours before the contest every week.

Q. Who do I send the money too?

Send $3 to !!Mr_Blonde6 on Pokerstars. Don't forget the 2 exclamation points and the underscore. The city is Georgetown.

Q. Why PokerStars? What about other sites?

No other site caters to the micro players as much as Pokerstars. There are more nightly micro tournaments than most other poker sites put together. Plus the large fields make for a better pay day.

Q. Can I still get in? Is it too late to join?

You can join late. Any tournaments that have already started before I receive your entry fee will NOT count toward your total. I will give a few minutes leeway considering sometimes it takes Pokerstars longer to transfer funds.

Q. Does the host take a cut?

No. The winner usually tips me. I put a several hours into this once a week and any tip is greatly appreciated.

Q. Do I need to post my results or keep my own score?

No. I take care of all that. Although, double checking your own score is recommended. There is a rare chance I make a mistake entering your information into the spreadsheet.

Q. Do you post the score throughout the night?

Because of the staggered start times of the tournaments, I usually don't start entering the data into the spreadsheet until after the last tournament has started. Depending on how many entrants there are, most of the time, I am unable to post the scores until after 2:00 a.m. pokerstars time. However, with the launch and progress of this site, there is a possibility of creating a live and up to date scoring system in the near future. I will be working on that over the next few weeks.

Q. When do you post the final scores?

The scores and a contest summary are posted early the following afternoon or when ever I wake up.

Q. I won Micro Mayhem, how do I claim my prize?

I will send you a private message on pocketfives.com explaining how to claim your prize, after I notify utterczar of the winners.

Q. Can I opt for better merchandise like the card protector or the hoodie?

Yes. Your Mayhem prize is actually credit towards any item at the merchandise store. If you want something more expensive than what you are eligible for, then you would be responsible for the remaining cost of the item, and shipping costs. Please note, if you live outside the USA, you are responsible for shipping costs.

Q. Can I opt for cash instead of the prize?

No. The $1 from every player goes directly to www.pocketfivesgear.com and is not refundable. There are several avalable to choose from, and some items every card player should have. Hell, if you don't want it, I'll take it.

Good Luck Micro Maniacs
